Once we know that the death has been verified we will organise for the deceased to be collected and brought into our care. As this will be a special trip there will be an additional charge of £250. It is always easier for the next of kin if we can be given all the information beforehand, so we do not have to spend time asking questions at the time of bereavement. In addition, we can liaise with the care home or hospice in advance so that the collection can happen seamlessly without any additional stress.

Who will be handling the deceased, what vehicles will you be using?

Go Direct Cremations will arrange for the deceased to be collected in a hearse or private ambulance, which may be a plain, unmarked vehicle
The staff will be smartly dressed and trained to handle the deceased in a respectful manner

Will we be informed when the cremation is occurring?

Yes, we will advise of the date and time.

What happens to the Ashes?

The ashes will, on your instructions, be returned to the family.

If you request the return of the ashes, these will be delivered to the address given and securely packed in an appropriate container
The ashes will be returned within 21 days
If no such instruction is received, they will be respectfully scattered in the garden of remembrance where the cremation takes place
